         Ancestral Walks

  Prehistoric Ancestral Living Skills,

Join us on the trail as we explore the hills of Southern Illinois just as its early Native American inhabitants once did. These lands once held in common and conflict by many tribes throughout the centuries are rich in memory reflected in everyone’s ancestral past. We all lived as hunter/gatherers at sometime in our past and the ancient living skills that kept humans alive live within us all. This ancestral trek is a half-day program designed to share and teach participants the ancient knowledge of our ancestors, such as who lived here and when? Where did they go? What did they eat? How did they survive here? What did they believe in? What was daily life like? These answers lead to more questions which will lead us into some hands-on learning experiences such as sharing of old ancient stories, making primitive paint, learning what plants were good for healing and food, how they plant cordage, how they created fire with friction, how ancient pottery was made, how they made stone tools and how leather was made from animal hides.

Minimum of 2 guests and maximum of 20

$45 per adult

$23.per teen (13-17)

$20 per youth (6-12)

Final location, time, and billing decided by both parties.

Please call Mark Denzer at 618-201-4090 or email cacheoutfitters@gmail.com.
